I bought a Sprinter Van with a Carr step that wasn’t working. Jeff Carr called me personally to take care of the issue. I sent the step in for repair and it was returned promptly in working order. This is what true customer service looks like!

The look great and work fairly well. I am curious how time will tell as I’m 190 lbs and since they attach to the rocker panel there is some “play.” I’m not concerned about it’s stability for my weight. Overall they are fairly easy to install with common tools. The instructions sheet needs to be reviewed for accuracy as there are discrepancies but the discrepancies aren’t so bad that you can’t figure it out on your own. I can’t speak for other models (or years for that matter) but my truck has standard cut outs for full nerf bar mounts, perhaps in future designs those could be utilized for added stability. If they didn’t look so well I’d rate at a 3 star.

Installation was straightforward. The steps move while under weight. I followed directions closely. The rocker appears to flex. I will be forced to add additional support.

They are still on the truck. I have never had a problem with them, and they still look great. Now I’m looking for another set for my 2018 F350.

Bought a new 2020 RAM Power Wagon and boy it is a difficult task to get onto the bumper to get in the bed. Stock it has 14.3inches of ground clearance to the body. I had the factory hidden step ordered but it was on back order. Searching for alternatives I found out other products only goes to a rating of 300lbs. Which for most folks is fine but if you are built for torque & not for speed like me that is an issue. For those of us that exceed that rating there are a very slim amount of options on the market.

So I thought of hitch mounted options but didn’t want something to elongate an already behemoth of a truck. I came across this site and saw this step, knowing nothing else about it I felt the price was fair so I tried it. Just received it today and WOW I am very pleased with the build quality & finish. This thing is built like a little tank, heavy, complete welds & extremely positive locking mechanism for the foot plate. I am just very very happy with it and having not yet mounted it I know it will be perfect for my application. OH and it has a 650lb rating. No need to worry will this break. Will definitely come back for future items.

Only problem was that the XM3 corroded right through at the mount within a couple of years (I noticed this when I removed it after breaking the step on a rock). Maybe should have gone with the more expensive Titanium version.

I’ve had them on for a few weeks and are very solid. I don’t foresee any issues with them in the future.

The center mark distance was 9″ and the overall distance between the two outside marks was 18″. This caused a problem on the initial installation, however after finding the discrepancy, the second unit was installed quickly and without problems.

The Carr staff was super helpful and helped me get them installed. The super hoops look great on my 96 F-150 and the seem like there going to be a durable, we’ll build addition to my truck.
